The premise of fintech companies coming to upend the Financial industry has been prevalent for quite a while now, but it has not played out to the extent that it’s been touted to be.
Fintech companies are looking to increase their traction, because for a finance company, their power and might lies in their scale. Simply put, the bigger they are, the more valuable they become.

And a way for them to increase their reach is to be present at events. To increase their visibility, events are a platform for these fintech companies to demonstrate the value that they deliver to their customers. And they’re present at events for this exact reason, hoping to either get noticed, or even to get acquired by a larger company, so that they can put their innovative solutions to work on problems at a larger scale.

So this is a great platform for finance companies, because they have what they are looking for on a platter. 50% of Finance companies are looking to make acquisitions in the next 3-5 years, and events are great places to scout for potential acquisition targets.
